OYOP Black - project
The One Yarn of Plastic project is zooming in on textile bindings like weavings, knitworks and embroidery patterns. We made illustrations of our own textile bindings and engineered a 2D printer as a tool to materialize our drawings. Like a weaver uses a yarn, we use a special kind of “filament’ to create a new ‘textile like’ material. Our approach resulted so far in a series of graphic material samples which all have different properties and qualities. Enhancing meanly tactility, the range of samples allow differences in pattern, flexibility, stretch, weight, opacity, shape and form.
