Duotone - project

“One Yarn of Plastic” unites technique with tactility by translating conventional methods, such as stitching, weaving and knitting, to contemporary 3D printing technology. The studio has developed a 3D printable equivalent of textile allowing them to print fabric in different patterns and colors. The open mesh arrangements create interesting dialogues between the objects and their underlying surfaces. The experimentation has led towards a series of different material qualities like flexiblity, stength, shape, opacity and colour densities.

- These prints emphasize on subtle colour differences.
